Hi, I am Sonica Beckmann, a lawyer and founder of House of Kind.
In 2024, I did not just start a fashion label, I started a kindness movement. Today, we are an international brand worn by women around the world who are redefining what strength, success and kindness look like.
From the beginning, I knew one thing for certain: I did not want women to dress like smaller versions of men. I wanted tailoring that celebrates our curves, not hides them. Goodbye boxy blazers and borrowing from the boys. House of Kind is about owning our shape, our softness and our strength. Our tailoring is engineered to give every woman an hourglass, no matter her size or proportions.
From there, three clear intentions followed.
1. To build a new kind of sisterhood at work
I wanted more than beautiful clothes. I wanted an unspoken alliance between women, a sisterhood in the workplace that helps you feel powerful, seen and fully yourself.
After years as Head of Legal in a multi-billion pound conglomerate, I knew the "old boys’ club" culture all too well. House of Kind is my answer to that: a different kind of club. One built on allyship, not exclusion. On women championing women, not competing in silence. On kindness as a daily practice, not a soft afterthought.
2. To make kindness visible, and unmistakably stylish
Kindness is the heart of everything we do. I wanted House of Kind to become synonymous with kindness in action. Every piece carries a subtle signal: a flash of our embroidered heart cuff, a bespoke lining, the Scales of Justice pin. These are not just design details, they are declarations.
They say:I have your back. You are not on your own here. You are safe with me.
When you wear House of Kind, you are not just getting dressed. You are putting on your values. You are choosing kindness as your power.
Clothes that speak before you do
Imagine walking into an interview, a boardroom, a packed conference or through a busy airport in a foreign country. Your heart is racing, you do not know a soul.
Then you spot it: the House of Kind heart on The TrailBLAZER® sleeve, or our Scales of Justice pin catching the light on someone’s lapel.
In that moment, you know: She is one of us.You can walk over. She will make space for you. She will help you find your footing.
This is what House of Kind is about: a quiet nod, a universal signal that says,You are safe with me. I am on your side.
Kindness becomes a language you can recognise across any room, city or country.
3. To create luxury that works from boardroom to bar, and loves your curves
I wanted women to have access to luxurious, beautifully cut ready to wear without the eye watering price tag. Pieces you can truly live in. Every design is created around our "boardroom to bar" concept, our Nine2Wine™ philosophy. From a high stakes meeting at nine to a glass of wine at nine, your outfit should move with you, not hold you back. Sharp enough for the office, effortless enough to dress down with jeans and trainers.
Our tailoring is meticulously engineered to give every woman an hourglass, no matter her shape. Strong shoulders, nipped in waists, clever seams and thoughtful lengths are all designed to honour your natural curves and create shape where you feel you do not have it. We are not here to hide your body in a boxy blazer or to copy a masculine silhouette. We are here to celebrate you. Every body is a House of Kind body.
Kindness also means designing with real women in mind: how you move, sit, travel, present, run for a train, hold a child or carry a laptop. You should feel held by your clothes, not restricted by them.
What began with the boardroom in mind has evolved into something far bigger: a wardrobe for all women who want to feel empowered, put together and supported by a global community of like minded women.
This is more than a challenge to the old boys’ club.It is a new way forward.
We are creating a global community of allyship through fashion. Women who recognise each other by a shared symbol of kindness. Clothing that speaks before you do. Confidence that does not rely on harshness, but on grace, generosity and strength.
In just a few months, we have grown from an idea into a rapidly expanding international brand, proof of what can happen when women stand together and lead with kindness. And we are only just getting started.
At House of Kind, we believe this with our whole hearts:Kindness is our superpower©.
I cannot wait for you to join our community, wear the heart and help carry this message of kindness, courage and solidarity into rooms all over the world.
Much love,
Sonica x
