I’m Sonica Beckmann, a lawyer turned fashion founder, and this is House of Kind.
Founded in 2024, House of Kind is not simply a fashion brand. It is a movement rooted in sisterhood, feminism and kindness in action. Our pieces are now worn by women around the world who are reshaping what strength, success and leadership look like, on their own terms.
From the outset, House of Kind was created in opposition to the idea that women must dress like smaller versions of men to be taken seriously. We do not do boxy blazers or borrowed silhouettes. We design tailoring that celebrates women’s bodies, honours softness and strength equally, and creates confidence through fit. Every piece is engineered to create an hourglass shape, whatever your size or proportions.
House of Kind is guided by three core intentions.
A visible sisterhood
After years working at senior level in a male dominated corporate world, I knew the old boys’ club culture intimately. House of Kind is my answer to it. A new kind of club built on allyship rather than exclusion, where women recognise, support and champion one another.
Our clothing creates an unspoken alliance, helping women feel powerful, seen and fully themselves in professional and social spaces.
Feminism you can wear
Kindness sits at the heart of House of Kind and it is designed into every piece. Subtle but recognisable details such as embroidered heart cuffs, bespoke linings and our Scales of Justice pin act as quiet signals between women. These are not decorative flourishes. They are statements of shared values.
They say: I have your back. You are not alone. You are safe with me. When you wear House of Kind, you are not just choosing an outfit. You are choosing how you show up in the world.
Luxury that works for real life
Our designs follow our Nine2Wine™ philosophy, moving seamlessly from boardroom to bar without compromise. Each piece is cut to work hard, wear well and feel effortless, whether styled for work or dressed down with jeans and trainers.
Strong shoulders, nipped waists, clever seams and considered lengths are all designed to honour your natural curves. We are not here to hide women in masculine tailoring. Every body is a House of Kind body.
What began as tailoring for the boardroom has evolved into something far bigger. A global community of women connected through shared values, visible allyship and beautifully made clothing that supports real lives.
House of Kind is not about being louder or harder. It is about confidence grounded in kindness, feminism and solidarity.
We are growing quickly and we are only just getting started.
At House of Kind, we believe this wholeheartedly.
Kindness is our superpower©.
Wear the heart. Recognise your allies. Carry kindness into every room.
With love,
Sonica x
